Sonny and Perley

To: The Director of Adult Programs

Sonny and Perley are professional concert touring musicians who present Adult Music Concerts for Libraries. The programs are designed to promote art, culture, and music appreciation to local communities by way of concert programs which blend musical performances with interesting stories and information about famous artists and composers. Programs are Engaging, Entertaining, Educational, and Artistic.

Hundreds of successful programs have been presented in libraries throughout the Eastern United States from the Canadian border to Southern Florida. Programs can be tailored to run from 60 minutes to 90 minutes and require a performance space approximately 10 feet by 10 feet with one grounded outlet. Programs are suitable for all ages and for audiences of 10 to 300 persons.  Some programs are also offered with different instrument combinations: duo, trio, quartet, or quintet.  All programs are offered with a duo. Each program has a history of being well received in concert halls and libraries throughout the northeast.

Some thank you letters Sonny and Perley received from Librarians

  • Maribel De Jesús... Palm Beach County Library System
"On behalf of the Palm Beach County Library System, I want to thank you for your contributions to help make the Black History Month 2018 celebration a success. The musical presentations you offered at the West Boynton Branch, Greenacres Branch and the Hagen Ranch Road Branch were enjoyed by all the members of the library who attended. I wish you continued success in all you do. I look forward to collaborating with you during library events in the future."
  • Khusboo Rana... Passaic Public Library
"Thank you so much for the wonderful concert! Those who attended had a great time and were praising your show. The fact that the audience wanted to stay was a testament to your lively and entertaining performance. '
  • Greg Callahan... Hyde Park Free Library
“Thanks again for a wonderful concert. It was fun; it was educational; it was everything a library concert should be.”
  • Meryl Norek...The Bethlehem Library
“What a wonderful performance you put on at our Library last night! There were 85 people in the audience (one of the largest groups ever!) and I’m sure they would have stayed and listened to you all night if we let them. Thank You for giving us such a fun filled evening”.
  • Cassie Guthrie...The White Plains Public Library
“Thank You for a truly exceptional performance at the White Plains Library on Sunday. As a Library program planner, I often struggle to find talented musicians who can charm our audience and add that “something extra” that makes for a really special event. Your “Tribute to Ella” concert was perfectly executed and I heard nothing but accolades from the audience as they left. I would highly recommend this program for libraries. Perley did a fantastic job of bring Ella Fitzgerald to life, and you were both a real pleasure to work with”
  • Maria Buhl...The Guilderland Public Library
“I wanted to thank you again for a wonderful performance on Saturday at the Guilderland Public Library. I’ve gotten so many wonderful comments from patrons who thought it was one of the best concerts they’ve been to at the Library. So thank you for giving us the chance to learn about and enjoy the music of Brazil”.
  • Bob Thomalen....The Patterson Library
“Just a quick note to thank you both for the absolutely fabulous musical presentation that you performed here at the Paterson Library last Saturday. As you could tell by the unrestrained applause following each selection, the audience loved every minute of it, as did I.. And you couldn’t have picked a better selection of pieces to play. One would have thought that you had asked the audience in advance what they would like to hear. All in all a great afternoon’s entertainment by accomplished professionals.
